Shazam: Identify Songs App Reviews

It’s clear from the simplicity, clean interface, and easy usability that you put good effort into this. It’s great. Well. Almost. Just when I check my battery usage, one application is using the most power: Shazam! You should be running with little or no energy expended. But no! So now I can’t leave this going in the background (it IS really draining my mid-2014 Macbook Pro’s battery). Please try again, guys. But it works otherwise.

I did an update and I re-installed and still not working on my MacBook! What a heck?!! Can you resolve this problem?

There has been a lot of discussions on this issue; however, Shazam just ignored our issues and get busy on making money…I know that my mic works.

It works it you want to know the song and get links to lyrics halfway through the song. Other apps pick up and feed me the correct information in the first 10 seconds Shazam is slow as heck.

The app starts up and lobs an icon on the menu bar but aside from that it just takes up space and processing power. I can’t get it to listen to anything on my computer.

This is a great app once it opens.However,it takes forever to load and often the song I am interesting in scanning is over.

It loads an icon but nothing ever happens! I was really excited about this one too. Total bummer. Downloaded onto a brand new Macbook Air.

The only reason I wanted to download this app was to be able to see all of the songs I have shazamed on my phone so that I could easily click on the songs to add them through  Apple Music to my iTunes Library. Other than that issue, the app is pretty good for it’s main purpose which is song recognition. Please make this app be able to sync with your account and I’ll consider downloading again.

Macbook air with working mic, app does nothing...

Ignore all these peasant reviewers with computers that still have floppy drives. Picks up every song in seconds on El Capitan.

Installed this app about a year or so ago. It never worked, just takes up space. Tried to uninstall , but it remains. Emailed support and never heard a word from them. Im in the process of cleaning up my MAC and going to try and remove it again. Hopefully support will respond.

The App loads and everything seems fine but it doesn’t recognize anything either from my computer or from the radio.

It doesn’t work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. It launches, looks all happy, and NEVER identifies a song. Just sits there eating up system resources and not doing anything.

I love the concept and I wish this would work. But it doesn’t pick up anything. I’m positive my mic is working, I tested it. Even tried another mic. My computer is up to date and not old at all. No idea why it doesn’t but this would be a great app if it would pick up the music.

I have this app installed on my Macbook pro and it doesnt shazam not 1 track for me at all. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. This is nothing like the app that is on the phone.

Turned it on and it got every song in a Yanni concert I was watching on TV. Ignored the pledge break music too, good! I’ll keep it. And its free!

Doesn’t work on El Capitan 10.11.4. Didn’t work on El Capitan at all, as a matter a fact. It used to pick up songs up the block somehow, but now I can basically shove a speaker into my hard drive and it can’t figure it out. No sync with your Shazam account, it is basically worthless. Please update! You had such a good run for so long!

It works perfectly but what’s up with the timer?
