RecentTags.plist is gone :(

It doesn’t really recognize a thing (unlike mobile app). And even if it does it does it wrong. Couldn’t recognize Boards of Canada, identified The Human League’s “The Things That Dreams are Made of” original version as “Tiga’s remix”. Also it looks like it takes sound via in-built mic of my Mac Pro, so you have to bring the notebook to the speakers to make it work at all. This app would make much more sense if it could process sound from sound card. I guess it’s not possible due to some Apple restrictions though. Guys, wish you luck, please make it work, people really need this technology in desktop version as well.

mac os el capitan, shazam not working

It recognises most everything, it is fast. It gives you one click to lyrics which is great for non english mother tongue people. Integration with apple music is a nice newly added feature. Keep up with the good work

Just working. I tested with MTV, Radio FM and cellphone Deezer. No one problem for now.

crashes on start, can not play. stays up for a few seconds then goes away..

I like the app, but now it won’t start. It won’t start at all. I get a “report problem” window, which disappears immediately and won’t LET me report the problem. I uninstalled it and now just rely on my cell phone when needed. I may reinstall IF the developers get it together.

Love Shazam! But this update on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) QUITS upon launch!!! Worked ok before I updated today. It will not launch even after a restart. Fix it please!!! Update!! Follow these directions: Open Finder > Click the Go tab > Hold down ALT > Open the Library > Containers > com.shazam.mac.shazam > Data > Documents > M_RecentTags.plist > Drag the plist onto the desktop or throw it out. Start Shazam and it should work again! Cheers!

Shazam was working fine until they had to update it, now it doesn’t work at all! All it does is crash soon as you launch it. I thought it just didn’t show the Shazam button anymore at the top and would still recognize songs, but it just doesn’t work at all!

After the last update my Shazam stops working, it does not open anymore in my Imac. What can I do?

They have poisoned Shazam with the new update. If you haven’t updated to 1.1 then don’t. Just slowly move your cursor to the red ‘x’ and close the app store. Unfortuantly I did update and now it’s like getting the chicken pox… then drinking clorox. The app won’t open, everytime I login a crash report opens then closes itself like 2 minutes later, and the logo looks weird. This was a pretty negative review but I honestly love the app, just please fix the bugs!

Most recent update seemed to kill it. Enjoyed it in previous versions. Hopefully it’ll get updated so that it may continue to work in the future. I like this app. It’s just not working well at the present moment. You can say it’s real but I know where it’s at. Just don’t tell me that.

This app still will not open after your “Upgrade” a couple weeks ago.. And this latest “Fix” does not fix anything..

This used to be an awesome APP, now it is BROKEN. I hope it gets fixed soon…...

Ever since Shazam updated last week, it crashes everytime. This is not good guys.

Had to dig back a few days in my Time Machine to uncover Shazam 1.01. Now I have Shazam working again. Now I have to turn off auto-update. I’ll probably archive a copy just in case. Fix it. Other users might not be as savvy.
