Does nothing of value
I downloaded this app thinking that it would “listen” to what I was watching (YouTube) and let me know the songs I was listening to…nope.
It doesn’t appear to use the internal sound card to detect what audio is playing, but only the outside sources via a microphone? I only own one mic and it is attached to my gaming headset, so unless I want to randomly be told what songs my girlfriend is singing while she does her artwork, I can’t see how it has any value over the iPhone (which now uses Siri to identify songs).
It seems like a short sighted, and poorly designed app. It has little in the way of settings, so you can’t set it to only listen to certain things, change the icon to a B&W version (which would make sense to turn blue when a song is detected), or do anything other than some self promotion nonsense.
I wouldn’t bother downloading this app. Just use your iPad/iPhone as per usual.
